It's a DRIVER!
and that doesn't mean it "happened" to start up after sitting for 20 years.
I'm selling this for a friend .
The Engine was recently rebuilt, the Gearbox and shifter were redone, the brakes were made to work again with new wheel cylinders. All work done about 3-4 years ago.

"new shoes" all around, by that I mean wheels were removed, blasted and Powdercoated in that proper off-white creme color.
It has new Nankang 5.20x10 bias ply tires
I do not think there is a spare, but I will have to look.
the usual rot around the wheel wells though.

engine was completely rebuilt in 2001 by Ed Korn in Madison WI.
This was not a cosmetic restoration of the engine, just a mechanical one.
Gearbox was removed and I was going to replace the Nylon Shifter Dogs, but this gearbox does NOT have them!
Instead it apparently has synchro rings of some sort.
I have photos of the gearbox with the cover off, but I have to dig them up.
Anyways- gearbox checked out OK, replaced the bushing on the shifter linkage and completely rebuilt the shifter box up front with the proper parts (thanks Carl Smith).
Shifts very good now, and the awful Kludged makeshift crap that was there is gone.
It also starts and runs fine.

also- New Coils and New Motor Mounts!
However - it is missing the engine sheet metal that fills out the engine bay.
I rebuilt the cork gasket in the Shutoff Valve and it works very nicely now, but it is not connected to the linkage.
I'm pretty sure I removed the gas tank and flushed it out and sealed it back in 2001.

the car came with some weird sliding u-joint assemblies instead of the proper rear axles so it went *klunk*klunk*klunk* when you drove it.
I finally replaced those for him last year with a set of proper axles (thanks Bill Rogers) and 4 new Drive Donuts from Capt Leo.
I also put in 4 new wheel cylinders around 2001 and I'm pretty sure I had the Master cylinder rebuilt, but used the old brake lines (old, as in 15-20 years old?)
Brakes worked fine then, but are a little soft right now. I will add some fluid and bleed them when there is a milder day outside.
Parking Brake cable was also replaced.
I believe I replaced the tie-rod silentblocs in 2001 as well, but no other suspension work was done, did not touch the shocks.

In 2002 I obtained one of the repro 600 muffler/heat-exchange reproductions from Germany.
This thing is worth about $1200 today alone. |

no battery under the rear seat, but it does crank and start fine with a portable jumper box.
Ignition light comes on at idle and then goes out like it should so the Dynastart is working.
